Testing and Assessment

The PSAT/NMSQT is being offered at Oconee County High School on October 15, 2025. All 9th and 10th grade Warriors are pre-registered for the test, which will occur during the school day. Registration is currently open now through September 26 for all 11th grade students and home school students living in Oconee County.

● Please remember that there are TWO PARTS to a successful AP exam registration. Read the direction letter carefully, and then reach out to your student’s AP teacher or Mrs. House with questions.

● FYI that STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) courses qualify for a waiver for one qualifying class. If you click “yes” for this question, it will be sent to Mrs. House for approval before you can complete payment.

● These dates are set by the College Board, and the schedule is the same for all AP classes across the world. If you have a conflict, please reach out to your teacher and Mrs. House as soon as possible.

Final exams will be given by most courses at the end of the semester and will not be given early. See the testing calendar for fall and spring final exam dates to ensure awareness and attendance. Students that qualify may be given the opportunity to exempt their final exam in certain courses. The number of exams that qualifying students may exempt will depend on the grade and semester. This information will be released at the end of each semester on the exemption form.

Students exercising the privilege of exempting final exams must meet the following criteria:

1. Has a “90” average or above in the course.

2. Has no more than three (3) class absences in the course. Seniors and juniors are allowed an

additional two (2) days each year for college visits. School-related field trips will not count toward

the total absences.

3. Does not have any out-of-school suspensions or in-school suspensions (ISS) for the semester.

4. All fine/debts have been cleared.

5. The teacher has the option not to allow the exam exemption within his/her respective course.

Schools administer the Georgia Milestones End of Course Assessments to students in designated courses to measure achievement in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. Courses with an End of Course assessment are Algebra, Biology, American Literature and Composition (11th Grade), and U.S. History.

-Literature and Composition 2: December 8-10

-Algebra: December 11-12

-US History: December 15

-Biology: December 16
