Media Center
Welcome to the OCHS Warrior Center
This is the home of the Warrior Center for Oconee County High School. Through this site, you can explore the media center's catalog, find out about new titles that have just arrived as well as give your suggestions, find out about important announcements, as well as find valuable resources that will help you with whatever you may need. Check out the new titles we have added to our collection. Don't see something? Feel free to come by at any point in the day!
The Warrior Center is open for everyone to come and enjoy at any point during the school day. While here, there are some basic things that everyone needs to know in order to fully enjoy the opportunities the Warrior Center can afford:
- Opens to students at 7:50
- Closes at 3:40 after dismissal
- Up to five items can be checked out at one time to any single person
- Books can be kept for two weeks at a time
- Calculators are checked out for three weeks before they must be renewed
- Overdue library materials (books/calculators) are charged at $0.05 per day with a two day grace period. Students are responsible for these fines even if they have returned the material overdue
- Collaboration is great for learning and encouraged in the Warrior Center but please keep the volume to a respectable level for others
- The Warrior Center may be closed at some points due to classes reserving the space or meetings
- If there is a particular book you are looking for and cannot find, contact Coach Wilson and he can ask the other county media centers to send a book in their collection.
